Sharper left/right matchups

Improved how the model reads left/right matchups using richer batted-ball data, and made player search and pages cleaner.

The model reads left/right matchups more accurately using richer batted-ball data, and player search and pages got cleaner.

  • Platoon-split calculations now draw on season-to-date batted-ball data, improving how each batter-vs-pitcher matchup is rated.
  • Player search returns only active players who've appeared in real games this season.
  • Player pages show a friendly "not found" page instead of erroring when there's no data.

Included

  • season batted-ball platoon splits
  • active-players-only search
  • friendly not-found page
