Privacy Policy

LongDong™ 3.0 ("we", "us", "the Service") is operated at TheHomeRuns.org. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep things simple because your privacy matters.

1. What We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, a username you choose, and a hashed password (we never store your actual password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google's OAuth service.

Subscription data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store your subscription tier and status but never see or store your full credit card number.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the site — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns — to improve the product. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.

Emails: If you're subscribed to our email list, we send daily slate and results emails via SendGrid. We track delivery status (sent, bounced) to maintain list health.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: operate your account and deliver the Service; send daily MLB analysis emails you've opted into; process payments via Stripe; improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns; and communicate important service updates.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted database on secure servers. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (12 rounds). Authentication uses signed JWT tokens over HTTPS. We follow security best practices including rate limiting on login attempts and password reset requests.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Stripe — payment processing. SendGrid — email delivery. Google OAuth — optional sign-in. Each service has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data.

5. Your Rights

You can update or delete your account at any time from your profile page. If you'd like a full export or deletion of all data we hold about you, email us and we'll take care of it within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time — every email includes an unsubscribe mechanism.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify registered users by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
